Half way through the morning the Gold team had to be withdrawn from the event since 2 players from the Gold team & 1 player from the Red team had to leave for another commitment. 8 players were left, which the tournament organisers agreed could be combined to form one squad.Stapleford & the other participating teams were very understanding in allowing us to do this. It meant that all the players were able to play in all the matches

Matches were 4 quarters of 5 minutes so it was hard going especially for the less experienced players.The players tried hard and kept smiling even when it was raining & they were not winning. The players & their play improved throughout the day with some very good spells of determined attacking & defending teamwork.Well done to the Gold team for their fighting spirit.

On Sat. 25th. November two U11 teams and one U12 team are playing in a fixture at Albany Junior School, Pasture Road, Stapleford, Nottingham NG9 8HR from 9.30- 11.30am.

Players in those age groups have been asked about their availability and selected players will be given confirmation letters at training on Mon. 20th. November. They will need to meet at the venue at 9.30am.

A very positive start to the season with a friendly fixture for U11, U12, U13 and U14 teams against Horncastle Belles Netball Club.

Each team played two matches against the opposition.

The weather was good, the competition just right for an introduction to the competitive season and the participation enjoyed by the players irrespective of the results. The coaches were pleased with the improvement display by the players during the matches. A pity that more players were not available to experience the competition.

Well done to the U19 squad that attended the Finals of this competition on Saturday 4th. November in Bournemouth. They attained 8th. place in their division.

Cliftonettes ended up on 17 points and 8th. position. All three teams above them had 19 points, if Cliftonettes had won 1 more of their games or achieved half scores in 3 of the games that they lost, they would have attained 5th. place.

The opposition at these finals in this age group are strong nationally therefore all matches were tough.
