Junior CONGRATULATIONS to the U14 ROYAL squad qualifying for the England Netball National Junior Championship Finals as Runners Up at the Regional Qualifying Tournament on Sunday 10 April in Leicester. The Finals are on Saturday 14 & Sunday 15 May at Loughborough University. The U14 Navy squad did exceptionally well & attained 4th place overall. Fantastic achievements for both U14 club teams gaining top spots in the East Midlands Region!! Well done to all the players, your commitment has been rewarded, thank you to the officials (coaches, team managers, scorers) for all the hard work & to the parents for their support. Junior, 18th April 2011 Two of the club U14 squads that have been involved in the Nottinghamshire Netball Association U14 County League have qualified for the next round of the England Netball Junior Championships. The U14 Royal squad have WON the league & the U14 Navy have come RUNNERS UP. Both teams have now qualified for the East Midlands Regional Tournament on Sunday 10th April at Soar Valley Netball Centre, Leicester. The Winner & Runner Up in this tournament will qualify for the National Finals on the 14th & 15th May 2011 at Loughborough University. Junior, 13th March 2011 Nottinghamshire Netball Association have organised youth leagues for U14 & U16 club players for 2010-11 An U13 team (White) & two U14 teams (Royal & Navy) are entered into the U14 League & an U15 team (Gold) and U16 team (Royal) are taking part in the U16 League. On completion of the U14 league the top 2 teams will qualify for the Regional U14 Tournament in March 2011. The top 2 teams from the U16 League (based on first half season results from September to December) will qualify for the Regional Clubs U16 League which starts in January 2011 until April 2011. Regional League matches are scheduled on Sundays with Home or Away fixtures against other clubs in Notts, Derbys, Lincs, Leics & Northants. Junior, 7th November 2010 The Presentation of awards, certificates, medals & gifts to the club juniors U11, U12, U13 & U14 took place on Monday 30th November for the 2008-2009 season. Junior, 5th January 2010 The club has entered the following competitions: REGIONAL EAST MIDLANDS CLUB U16 NOTTS QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT for entry into the Regional U16 League 2010. To gain entry into the Regional league teams from the East Midlands counties (Derbys, Leics, Lincs, Notts & Northants) take part in county qualifying tournaments. The top 2 teams from each county qualify for the league which takes place in January, February & March 2010. The top 2 teams from the league qualify for the EN U16 National Finals on the 24th & 25th April in Manchester. TOURNAMENT DATE: Saturday 12th December 2009 9.30am start at Rushcliffe L.C. The team manager will be selecting the squad to represent the club at this tournament during training in the next two weeks. REGIONAL EAST MIDLANDS CLUB U14 TOURNAMENT to qualify for this regional tournament club teams in Notts take part in a qualifying tournament on Saturday 9th January 2010 9.30am start at Rushcliffe L.C. The top 2 teams from Notts will qualify for the next round of this competition the regional tournament in March. The top 2 teams from the regional tournament qualify for the EN U14 National Finals on the 8th & 9th May in Manchester. The team manager will be selecting a squad to represent the club at the Notts tournament during training. NOTTINGHAMSHIRE NETBALL ASSOCIATION JUNIOR LEAGUE 2010 The junior league for club U11, U12, U13 & U14 age groups is scheduled to start in January through to May on Saturday mornings at Rushcliffe L.C. The winners & runners-up from the Regional Tournament have qualified for the National U14 Clubs Championships Semi-finals on Saturday 16th May at Wolverhampton University, Walsall Campus. Progression to the Finals on the 30th May at the Netball Centre, Loughborough University will be for successful clubs at the semi-finals. Junior, 8th April 2009 A squad of nine U13 players took part in the Hucknall Town Tournament on Saturday 21st March. The next tournament date is Saturday 18th April (please note that this is at the end of the school Easter holidays & before training sessions resume). Junior, 26th March 2009 The club have organised a Junior Presentation Evening on Friday 8th May 2009 in A Hall at Rushcliffe Leisure Centre 7.00pm- 10.00pm Achievements for the 2007- 2008 season will be acknowledged, certificates distributed from tournaments attended as well as this year's successes outlined. There will be a disco & tuck shop available. All club members plus parents & family members are welcome to attend. Tickets will be available on the door £1 per person. Junior, 19th February 2009 The Nottinghamshire Netball Association Junior League 2008- 2009 has now started. Junior, 12th October 2008 SATURDAY 21 JUNE 2008 one Cliftonettes U12 team was entered in this event at National School, Annesley Road, Hucknall Nottingham. Unfortunately the event was cancelled during the week since only Cliftonettes N.C. had entered therefore there would only have been one match against Hucknall Town. It was decided by officials from both clubs that this would not have been a viable option especially as both clubs had already competed against each other in the junior league. A decision had to be made by 4pm so that Rushcliffe Leisure Centre could be informed before parents began calling in with enquiries. We were hoping to organise matches for the U11s on Saturday 15th March unfortunately we have been unable to arrange any opposition. JUNIOR TRAINING restarts on Monday 31st March at the usual time 6.00- 7.30pm. The SENIOR TRAINING SESSION today is still on (hopefully the rain will have eased by 7.30pm)!!! March 2007at Albany Junior School, Pasture Lane, Stapleford NG9 8HR (Unfortunately the third tournament on the 10th. February had to be cancelled due to adverse weather). Arrival time: 9.00am Start time: 9.30am Finish time: approx. 2.30pm Match fees: £2 per player Kit: White shirt, navy skirt (+ PE pants), white socks, trainers, navy sweatshirt and/ or navy tracksuit trousers for warmth + windsuit or jacket before warm up & during any intervals. For safety reasons & in adherence to the rules: finger nails must be cut short, no jewellery may be worn, laces on trainers done up securely & hair tied back. Burleigh Half way through the morning the Gold team had to be withdrawn from the event since 2 players from the Gold team & 1 player from the Red team had to leave for another commitment. 8 players were left, which the tournament organisers agreed could be combined to form one squad.Stapleford & the other participating teams were very understanding in allowing us to do this. It meant that all the players were able to play in all the matches Matches were 4 quarters of 5 minutes so it was hard going especially for the less experienced players.The players tried hard and kept smiling even when it was raining & they were not winning. The players & their play improved throughout the day with some very good spells of determined attacking & defending teamwork.Well done to the Gold team for their fighting spirit.
